As long-time professors, we recognize that not every student was coming to us with questions. Maybe they were shy, maybe the schedules didn't work, or maybe they just needed to hear the material from a different voice. However, in the search for tutors for extra practice, our students were coming up empty. For these subjects, a tutor needs to be a well-trained and experienced individual. As we each decided it was time to leave academia, we knew we would miss interacting with the students. Starting Tutoring the SLP allows us to stay connected with the material and the students.
Tutoring the SLP has three different ways that we can help you. (1) If you need to meet with somebody to go over concepts as a review or new material, we will be happy to meet with you one-on-one to discuss whatever topics you want to work on. (2) Maybe there are a few of you from the same class and you all want to come together. You can schedule a small group session where you provide the group and we provide the tutor. (3) Finally, we also offer test review session. You can bring your study guides and notes and we will help you review the material.
Please also be on the lookout for our Bootcamps to help refresh your memory from those pre-requisite class days, offered throughout August and September. Coming Soon - online CEUs and Career Conversations.
